so my friend found the phone and gave it to me cuz i have sprint but i don't know if the esn number is clean (im assuming it's not) is there any way i can use the phone or should i just get rid of it?I found a Samsung Instinct sprint phone the other day, can i clear the esn number and use it?
You really should contact Sprint and see if there is a way to get the phone back to the owner. The phone is no good to you once it is reported as lost/stolen, so just do the right thing.
