B.) Put a new esn on that line

Clear phone esn question?
I am selling my cell phone on Ebay. I know what a clear esn is, and I have a due bill. It's not past due for like a couple more weeks. SO if I'm buying a new phone at the same time, and I activate that new phone, will the bill go towards my new phone, leaving my old phone's esn clear?Clear phone esn question?
