My account has been shut off since late Jan .. Early Feb.. When is it safe to sell the phones.. I no longer need them and well I could make some extra money off them...How long does it take Sprint to clear your name off your phones?? So you can get rid of them?
You could literally sell your phone a few hours after your phone has been deactiveated. I've done this many times. THe most recent time was last week.
However, if Sprint shut off your account for not paying your bill then it may take several months. They want to make sure they give you every oppurtunity to pay the bill before they send your account to collections. If this is the case, then I think it is three months before they do this.How long does it take Sprint to clear your name off your phones?? So you can get rid of them?
What do you mean ';clear your name';? Things like your contact list, text messages, banner and ticker, or camera photos can easily be deleted on your own. Or you could take it in to the Sprint office and have them wipe the memory for you--they might charge a fee for that though.
Canceling your service plan doesn't mean they automatically wipe your phone.
The information stored in your phone is not removed because your account is closed. You need to clear the memory yourself.
